Japan: Reve d’Essor looked special Saturday in Guineas prep

The gray Japanese filly Reve d’Essor looked special winning the Group 3 Tulip Sho over 1600 meters at Hanshin Saturday, a prep for the Japanese 1000 Guineas. A Group 1-winning daughter of the late Sunday Silence sire Agnes Tachyon, Reve d’Essor is undefeated in four starts and was given a very confident ride. Out of a French-bred Group 1 winner Reve d’Oscar, she was bred by Katsumi Yoshida’s Northern Farm and was the champion 2-year-old filly of 2010. Yoshida and his brother Terry, owner of Shadai Farm, have been active buyers at the Kentucky ¬†broodmare sales over the last few months. ¬†See the race below. Final time was 1:34.50.
