  1. Smashing debut, Sid!

And a nice pairing there with Repole!

We could all revisit a few of the smart things that Messrs. Gaines, Nerud, Hancock, et al. put into practice.

The racing game isn’t about a single type of horse, a single distance, nor a single economic model. That, however, has been the tendency of racing/breeding since the bloodstock depression of the late 1980s, but now at a time of similar economic contraction, we ought to have a think and see what can be done to plan constructively for the future and put things on a more solid foundation.

    All the best,
    Frank

  2. The variety of types is one of those elements that most makes the TB business interesting and gives racing its real depth. Great article.
