    I’m honestly surprised that we haven’t seen the same thing happen in India already. I think that ten years from now the majority of horses in India will be purchased in the states.

  2. The key is the requirements that Indian races are limited to Indian breds. Hence, the term “got abroads” for horses foaled in India (to satisfy the requirement) but imported in utero. I doubt very much that will change in the near future as I’m sure they’ll want to protect their breeding industry until it starts producing horses that compete at high levels internationally.
