  1. Added to these horses who will stand in India for the 2010 season, are the following:

WIN LEGEND (Sunday Silence-Shinko Nobby by Nashwan) A son of the great Sunday Silence bought by Dashmesh Stud in Punjab to replace their Sunday Silence horse Sunday Doubt who died after leaving behind only one crop. He is a stakes winner in Japan and was best at 6 and 7 Furlongs. He belongs to the same family as Rainbow Quest, Warning and Scenic.

ROI MAUDIT (Elusive Quality-Captivant by Deputy Minister) The first son of Elusive Quality to stand in India. A stakes winner at Acqueduct and Meadowlands over 6 furlongs he also placed in a Gr.3 at Belmont. He vretires to the newly started Country Stud Farm in Rajasthan.

CP WEST (Came Home-Queen’s Legend by Dynaformer) Runner up in the Gr.2 Futurity Stakes at Belmont, he also placed in the Jim Dandy and Withers Stakes. He retires to Galloping Acres Stud in Pisawa UP.

CHARMO (Charnwood Forest-Marie De Ken by Kendor) A Gr 2 winner in America and Gr1 placed behind Aragorn in the Shemaker Mile. He had very strong form in France before racing for trainer Julio Canani in California. He is going to India but I have no Idea to which farm yet.

  2. Pete, I don’t. I do know that early on the Dancing Forever people wanted $500,000 for the horse, but by the time of his sale that number, I’m positive, would have been seriously lowered, because there wasn’t much demand for the horse elsewhere. Noverre — the G1 winner and sire of 2009 French Derby winner Le Havre is also by Rahy like Dancing Forever — stands at Sohna Stud in India, so it was possible to capitalize on this connection to sell to India.

  3. was great value at $150,000 last advertised price I heard , it was his lack of 2yo form and the fact he was running in optional claimers for most of his 4yo career that caused this crash, wasn’t until he reached 5 that he started to bloom , Unfortunately stallion values have dropped through the floor in the US allowing the once in a generation opertunity for smaller racing countries to acquire top blood lines .

I wish Dancing Forevers new owners all the best with him

I love your blog by the way its a real source of info KEEP up the great work

    Pete

  5. Dear Sir,

Your article is very interesting and gives the reader a lot of knowledge about the new stallion imported to India. Sadly you forgotten about another very well bred Stallion that’s Standing at PARAMVIR STUD FARM TOHANA “CHINESE WHISPER”. First ever Son of MONTJEU Out of Listed Race winner Majinskaya (Marginan). Who Produced A CHAMPION TWO YEAR OLD FILLY DANASKAYA In IRELAND.

CHINESE WHISPER himself a listed winner and placed 3rd in group 1.

    Regards,

    Paramraj Singh
