  1. TENEMOS UNA GRAN YEGUA, BAMBERA ES FENOMENAL. ESPERO LE VAYA DE MARAVILLA POR USA. COMO TAMBIEN ESPERO QUE NO LA VENDAN. LO QUE HIZO LA YEGUA HOY FUE PASEAR LA DISTANCIA. ASI VIVIAN NO HUBIESE HECHO ESE CAMBIO DEMANOS, BAMBERA TODAVIA GANABA, ELLA ES UNA GRAN POTRA Y LO HA DEMOSTRADO AQUI EN VENEZUELA. SUERTE CAMPEONA Y QUE TUS DUEÑOS TE CUIDEN COMO TE LO MERECES.

    1. David, thanks for your comment.

      This is my translation:

[My transaltion: We have a great filly. Bambera is phenomenal. I hope she does marvellously in the USA. As I also hope that they do not sell her. What the filly did today was to walk the distance. Vivian did that [slow the race] but Bambera still won. She’s a great horse as she has demonstrated here in Venezuela. She’s a champion and I hope that her lucky owners take care of her in the way that she deserves. ]

  2. Hi Sid, I don’t remember reading about Vivian Record before. Do you know what her race record is? Is racing in Mexico of enough international consequence to follow? Thank You, Wendy

PS- This is meant to be funny, not crude (most are adults on here, right?) I tried to check out the top picks prior to the running of the Japan Dirt Cup. Eventual winner Espoir City’s name I checked out for translation of “espoir”- the Urban Dictionary (consider the source) lists the definition as- a combination of “shit!” and “holy moly!”

Other more likely definitions were “hope” and “an element of surprise”. But I bet most won’t have “hope!” or “surprise” in their heads next time he crosses the finish line first!

  3. Wendy, if you scroll down a few posts, you can read and see a video of Vivian Record. Mexican stakes form is not internationally recognized, but Vivian Record was winning G1s over there by 26 and 31 lengths.

  4. Wendy: you can find the Past Performances for all the contestants of last weeks caribbean stakes events at:
