I wrote on Tuesday (June 16) that a serious offer for Kentucky Derby winner Mine That Bird was in the works. On Thursday (June 18) I wrote that an offer of $2 million for half the horse had been rejected. I know another offer had also been rejected, and there was a third offer on the table as well. Today (June 19), Thoroughbred Times confirmed one offer and said Mine That Bird’s connections had decided to decline it after giving it some thought. The Times also confirmed that the horse had been vetted Wednesday (June 17). Click here to read the Times article.
