Every week or so, it seems, yet another South American racehorse is sold to either Dubai (Sheikh Mohammed, primarily) or Saudi (Prince Sultan Al Kabeer, primarily) interests. The latest, according to Japanese blogger Futeki, is the Mutakddim Southern Hemisphere 2-year-old El Amarillista, who is a Group 1-placed winner. The buyer is? Envelope, please . . . Prince Sultan Al Kabeer.
Futeki also reports that the Brazilian Group 1 winner Sorrentino is on his way to race in the US. A son of Wild Event, Sorrentino was bred by Julio Bozano’s Haras Santa Maria de Araras — the Pellegrini winner for top stable in Argentina this year.
