The following video was made by Caleb Kerbs, a member of the 2007 Triple Crown World Series 10U team (where John Fernando coached 3rd) and at present an infielder at The Beacon School. He is Joe Fernando’s best friend and was taken under the wing of Johnny Fernando at Beacon as a freshman for the 2010-2011 season. The four verses to the beat by DJ Premier were written and voiced by (in order of appearance): Joe Fernando, 14; Caleb Kerbs, 14; Leon Pearl, 18; and Sam Fox, 18. All except for Joe are students at Beacon, where Sam was the starting shortstop to Johnny’s second base. Sam and Leon were two of John’s best friends and music collaborators.

UPDATE: 7.12.2010: NABF playoffs start Thursday at American Legion Field. Each player must sign the roster in triplicate. The format is double elimination, and the tournament runs Thursday through Saturday. First day unis are green/white. New rules: DH for pitcher; no EH; no re-entry. Will get more details at meeting Wednesday night. I expect every player to make all games.

Coaches MUST wear Blue track pants with white stripe (no jeans or sweats) plus orange top or green top.

Let’s have a parent in charge of bringing water for team each week–either a cooler or cold water bottles.
