The gray Japanese filly Reve d’Essor looked special winning the Group 3 Tulip Sho over 1600 meters at Hanshin Saturday, a prep for the Japanese 1000 Guineas. A Group 1-winning daughter of the late Sunday Silence sire Agnes Tachyon, Reve d’Essor is undefeated in four starts and was given a very confident ride. Out of a French-bred Group 1 winner Reve d’Oscar, she was bred by Katsumi Yoshida’s Northern Farm and was the champion 2-year-old filly of 2010. Yoshida and his brother Terry, owner of Shadai Farm, have been active buyers at the Kentucky broodmare sales over the last few months. See the race below. Final time was 1:34.50.
