I for one am hoping this crop stays poor as it has. To win a triple crown you need a poor crop in my opinion unless you are a Secretariat type freak you need to be the best by a bunch because typically a horse who can better you at a certain distance or better on a certain day.

Giant’s Causeway is one horse away from being fully “his sire’s successor.” Eskendereya might just be the ticket. Certainly, his Wood could not have been more impressive.
Speaking of impressive Wood winners, I saw Bellamy Road this weekend … he’s still an awesome horse.

I knew Giant’s Causeway back when he was in Europe. He’s always struck me as having the potential to be one of the truly “great sires”.
